It's strange how many people really don't understand that the whole entire meaning of "Krishna consciousness" is to be absorbed in thoughts of Krishna.
Not thoughts of "things somehow related to Krishna".
I guess with a little understanding, we can see that actually Every Thing is related to Krishna.
Why do we need to immerse ourselves particularly in Indian "things related to Krishna" when the entire creation, and everyone in it is "related to Krishna".
I know when you don't yet see that, it helps to have things that remind you of Krishna.
When you start worshiping those things, and thinking of those "things", and being absorbed in those things, rather than Krishna Himself, then the those things have actually become:
An Obstacle
to
Krishna
(consciousness)
